If you want to record your amp at home and can’t afford to acoustically treat and soundproof your home studio, can’t afford a mic locker full of U87s/121s/SM57s etc., and don’t have the space or money for dozens of different cabs with all kinds of classic drivers - and if you don’t want to antagonise your neighbours or the people you live with - buy the Captor X and live happily ever after. You can record silently or using the attenuator so that you can get the tone of your amp cranked to 10 at the volume you want. The free companion app is very easy to use and works quickly and smoothly with the Captor X. The only decision you have to make is whether to get the 8ohm or 16 ohm version. A friend of mine who is a session guitarist in LA has both of them! In his opinion the sound from the Captor X is very, very close to the original. Get one!

Excellent Product

This has opened up a whole host of options for playing at home. I can finally crank my Fender Princeton during the day/evening without setting the condo WhatsApp groups all aflutter. At night, I can choose to play through my monitor speakers or headphones. Fantastic purchase. Would highly recommend.
