Worked exactly as advertised. Used 4 of them to raise my two e-bikes to the ceiling of the garage for storage, freeing up much needed floor space. Easy to use and work just as I had hoped they would.

Just got these. Seem to be as advertised.
I just got these really have not used them yet to tie anything down. I got them to hoist bikes up in Garage. I believe they'll be great. Once locked down , sure hold tight.

The jam cleat locks well despite the inexpensive polypropylene cord included with the unit (I will explain later). However, notice in all the TIE BOSS images and videos with the cleat attached to ceiling, the cord through non-locking side of the cleat tends to be vertical to the ground. And the cord on the locking side is always hoisting a narrow item like a bicycle or a ladder. That is because slender items like bicycles, ladders and kayaks allow you to lock the cleat even when these Items are close to the ceiling. To lock the cord, the cord on the locking side of the cleat has to be roughly parallel to the cord on the non-locking side, which on narrow or easy to move items, it's easier to engage the locking mechanism. If the item you have is wide however, it makes it a lot more difficult to engage the locking function. I bought this product to get a large Yakima SkyBox rooftop carrier off the garage floor. I found out very quickly, the width of the SkyBox is so wide, you cannot bring the two cords close enough to lock, especially the closer to the ceiling the carrier got--virtually impossible. In order to get the box off the floor, and to use that location for other items in the future, you need to construct a platform/shelf to place the items. To keep the platform stable and not rotate on the axis of the platform, you will need to connect the corners of your platform together, two corners per TIE BOSS. Finally, as a lifelong rock climber, none of us use polypropylene because of its poor knot-ability and lubricity. If TIE BOSS spent a few more pennies and opted for 6-7mm nylon cord (Perlon), the cord would lock more securely, be stronger and have enhanced durability.
