Seemed kind of rough for a buffing rag when I received it. The rag worked okay for buffing the shine on my boots but was not the easiest to work with due to the shape and thickness. I think it's meant to be used in a swiping motion by a shoe shiner rather than in a small circular finger driven buffing motion that you use for detailed shining.
