Fantastic Grip - Incredible Customer Service

I bought this grip for my Nikon D850 because I like huge cameras (big hands) and the additional battery power. I was surprised to find that the ENEL-18 battery also improved auto focus speed. I knew it would increase frames per second, the increase in auto focus speed was just very welcome surprise bonus. I thought I had received a bad unit because I was unable to assign the function button and the control wheel on the grip to two separate functions. I emailed support and they sent out a replacement grip immediately. After trying every possible combination of grips and batteries I finally got in touch with someone at Nikon in Japan who told me the D850 did not allow for setting two functions at once on the grip. It is either the function button or control wheel, but not both. I asked if that could be addressed in a future firmware update and he said in the usual, polite, roundabout way "No". On the other hand, with that limitation in mind the grip fits perfectly, looks as good as the genuine Nikon grip at a fraction of a fraction of the price, and it just works. I have shot a couple of thousand images with it so far and I have had zero issues with it. I think it a terrific grip at a terrific price and backed by a company that actually cares and goes the extra mile. I know for a fact I will be ordering some batteries and other things from them soon.

Great OEM replacement and excellent customer service

Bought the MB-D18 Battery grip for my beautiful D850. Everything regarding the build quality is excellent and equals the OEM grip. Would love to have given the full five star or a 4.5 stars, but the only downside is that there is no weather sealing existing at the battery door. Depending on your photography type, this might not be an issue at all. As an astrophotographer, i need to have my cameras out in the nature at extreme temps and having that weather seal helps with keeping that huge battery in a more controlled temperature to operate efficiently. However, a quick hack to this would be to use gaffers tape around the battery door. A good engineer always finds a way. :)

I have already give my feedback on these item I am very satisfied with the product and why paid three times the price when wasabi fulfills these functions well.
