Rancilio Rocky - MD40 - Obel Bregant Espresso Grinder Burrs

Works Great

I have a 27 year old Rancilio Rocky grinder, about 1,500 lbs. of coffee through it, still using the original burrs. It worked but was taking a very long time to grind (~110 seconds for 18g of coffee). These new burrs reduced that time down to ~18 seconds. That's a six fold speed increase! Much better than I expected. Noise level (measured with Apple Watch dB meter) is slightly louder going from 82 dB to 85 dB about 1.5 feet from the grinder. But that's okay with me, as it's making noise for a whole lot less time.

Brought new life back into my Rancilio Rocky

Extremely satisfied with these replacement burrs. I was previously grinding down to 3-4 steps, and no longer getting a consistent grind. The machine runs much quieter and faster now at 9 steps. Identical to the original ones from Rancilio sans logos. Thank you Coffee Addicts team!

I have this Rancilio Rocky grinder for about 18-20 years. I was devastated when it was clear that - because of a $5- spring - I will ave to replace my (indestructible, in every sense of the word) machine. The new burrs are quieter, for sure.
