Proportions of shirt not as shown in picture

I love the design, but the shirt is shorter than it appears in the picture. It is almost as wide as it is long which does not make for a flattering fit. I got a large to be on the safe side, usually a M, and it is just long enough to tuck in with high waisted pants. Disappointed but I didn’t want to mess with the return and I really like the design.
