First I loved it, then I didn’t

The rug I loved, the service I did not. After placing my order online, I was pleasantly surprised with a call that same evening confirming my item would be delivered the next day. Great! The next morning I got a call from the store saying they couldn’t deliver it with a Moss driver but they could still deliver it using a 3rd party shipper. Still great! I then got a the from the 3rd shipper asking me to confirm my shipping time and there was no availability that day, or the next. The first availability was going to be the night, 2 days AFTER the original delivery date. I called the store to see what if anything could be done to meet the original delivery date, the representative I got on the line basically said we’re short-staffed and I could take the first available date the 3rd party shipper had or a day later with Moss’ own driver. No apology, no remorse. And as I’m processing this choice and a forgotten promise, the line clicked off. Stuff happens, I get that. I don’t get the willful disregard for customer service and zero care about reneging on a promise made to a customer.
