Perfect plastic free replacement of plastic sponges!
These loofah sponges are perfect replacements of plastic sponges, with identical cleaning power (the rough side of the loofah gives you even more cleaning power), and lasts the same amount of time. This is one of the cheapest places I have found them as well.

Loofah Dishwashing Sponge
I have never used a loofah sponge before. I am pleasantly surprised. It cleans well and does not break off. I also love that it is a sustainable product.
