These were dodsend in the recent big storms, making it possible for me to get to my backyard to feed the birds and critters and to bring our compost from the kitchen (I know, not glamorous or sporty, but what I needed). My only issue is that I can’t turn my legs to open and close the heel straps, so I have to strap my boots onto the snowshoes first and then slide my feet into the boots.

I have been using my retrospec drifter snowshoes for about 3 weeks now and put them through their paces doing deep snow and elevation gain hikes and they have performed incredibly well. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear but offer great float on deep snow and serviceable traction on icy terrain.
As a bigger guy I went with the 30” model and would recommend that to anyone over 220lbs.
I highly recommend these over more expensive brands of snowshoes especially if you are just getting into the hobby but even beyond that as well.
