MIRA Safety® NIJ Level 4 Body Armor Plate

Fantastic form and finish

Despite its overall thickness, it’s comfortable to carry around even with a trauma pad. I hope I never have to see it work in action but when the rubber meets the road, I trust it and Mira Safety!

High quality, low weight plates. I’d suggest these for anyone in need of plates for their plate carrier.

Paired with Ferro Concepts side armor plate bags (tight fit but works)

The 6x6 plates are great. This review looks at a plate carrier configuration - specifically side armor plate bags. I run the Ferro Concepts 'Slickster' with their '3AC Side Plate Pockets 6X6.' I like that you can fasten the pieces together with no MOLLE, just Velcro. It creates a slick look. Ferro Concepts' plate pockets do run a little bit small for the MIRA plates. The fit is very tight and the Velcro tab does not come down into the pocket to effectively seal the plate. See the images. However, the fit is so tight and it will be pressed against my body so that I have no concerns for the plate falling out of the bag. I will continue with this set-up and hope to see Ferro extend the Velcro by one inch on their flap in subsequent revisions of the product.
