Great patterns!

Made the large maple leaf yesterday and it was such a fun project, it’s adorable! It’ll be a comfy play mat for my baby any day now (if my cat doesn’t claim it!). Alas, I realized as I was almost done quilting the veins that the morphology in the pattern is wrong - as a forest ecologist who teaches plant ID and taxonomy, this will always slightly bother me…. but probably not enough to seam rip and redo the bottom veins so the palmate venation starts at the bottom rather than ~6” up. I just wish I had noticed earlier so I could have drawn them right. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 - the directions and all that were very clear.

i always try and find a multi use when buying patterns. i've gotten crinkle paper to add to the middle, and shrunk the Ex Small by 50%. This way my son's class can toss and crunch them during the songs they do. It's such an amazing sensory friendly learning shape. 10 out of 10 recommend!

These look so fun I had to get the pattern. I have a lot of fabric and I look forward to making a bunch soon. What a great, fun way to add colour to a room!
