Engel 50 High Performance Hard Cooler and Ice Box

The cooler seems to be very well made. I haven't used it yet. I was surprised by the weight and wonder if at my age a roller version would have been smarter.

These are GREAT coolers, we have another expensive cooler brand in the boat, these Engel coolers are better. They keep stuff cold, ice lasts longer, and the basket has enough depth to be useful. We have just returned from 21 days running around Bahamas with these coolers and they just worked better than the others in the boat. I'm converted, the extra depth is great, the thicker lid and lid seal are better. We kept meat frozen solid for over 5 days then added some ice and kept it at fridge temps for the rest of the trip. The height is another great feature, the cooler takes up less floor space while being at a great height to use as a seat. Overall a huge win, glad to find this upgrade.

Engel coolers are great

I have been using various top shelf coolers for river rafting for many years now. I think Engel is every bit as good, or better, than the ones costing alot more.
