The Macana Mailbag: A Unique, Heirloom Quality Leather Bag -- A Wearable Work of Art!

I take my time with purchases like this. I research, read reviews, post questions online, ask questions of the maker (MANY thanks to Jess for her patience with me!) and thoroughly consider everything. There is nothing else quite like the Macana Mailbag out there! The craftsmanship is top quality, both in function (the structural elements are very well thought out and sturdily built) and form (the design is just beautiful -- a wearable work of art!). The external and internal organization are just the right amount to be useful/functional, without getting in the way or committing me to a limited way of doing things. (A little tip: I ordered a few of their Aspen Journal Storage Mods to add some flexible internal organization -- I keep one in my Macana regularly, and have a second one that I toss in for when I need some additional accoutrements.) I also love the strap closure system -- it is wonderfully functional/effective, with a fun, rugged aesthetic (and it is SO much better than relying on magnets, which inevitably open when you don't want them to). Overall, my Macana Mailbag feels like something I could wear adventuring into some hidden archeological ruin a la Indian Jones as well as into the city and a formal business meeting. I am excited to use this bag for the rest of my life. :)

Phenomenal Bag

The Macana mail bag is beautifully crafted with top quality materials, workmanship and style. Leather is sturdy and still refined. Main compartment holds my Mac Air laptop, files and accessories in well organized compartments and the under flap and backside compartment are practically designed and super functional. Bonus pen slot works great with the pens Allegory makes as well. Adjustable strap sits well on the shoulder and can be slung securely and comfortably when on the move. Initially ordered as a gift but they needed a bigger bag for a larger computer set up. Loved this bag so much that I kept it and ordered the larger messenger bag for the gift upgrade. Highly recommend this bag and the customer support is stellar. Will order again and again.
