Performance Pedal Sets 986/996

5 stars for product but 0 stars for your installation video and support. On a 996 with a cable throttle, the installation is exponentially more difficult and finicky. I even broke my original accelerator housing during the install of the numeric pedal and had to purchase a new OEM one. Even once installed I had issues with excessive tension on the cable throttle, due to things not covered in the installation video. Customer support was of no help and didn’t realize that 1998/99 996s had cable throttles. I eventually resolved after considerable effort. I have dozens of labor / research hours into this and am also $300 poorer. My recommendation is you either stop marketing this for all cable throttle cars, make a video of the installation in a cable throttle 996 (good luck!) or recommend professional installation instead of DIY. I was going to purchase the Numeric short shift kit next but after this experience I think I need to move to another company. I will say the pedals are high quality though.

Love the pedals . Tightening the brake/clutch pedal covers from behind was a bit of a challenge . Perhaps Allen screws would be easier than the Torx . Screws were missing in my original shipment, but Numeric remedied nice and fast . Porsche 986/996 accessories sales are probably declining, but a custom-made dust boot for the accelerator pedal would be nice for a perfect fit . I installed the OEM back, but putting "the pedal to the metal" now feels mushy instead of positive .

Awesome product. Well made and worth the $$. This goes for the shifter knob as well
