This pencils make it so easy to get the colors exactly where you want them, making color fading and layering so easy! They also can be used with less water than traditional watercolors, in my experience, making them more versatile with papers.

I have just started really working with watercolors. I have the Moody Brights and Moody Muse compacts and love using them. I saw Jaycee using these pencils and even though they are expensive I went ahead and ordered them. Thy are great to work with and I like they can be used dry as well as wet. The colors are vibrant. I agree with other reviews that the cylinder is tight when putting the pencils back. I would love to see additional sets available perhaps that match Altenew die colors.

My Favorite Pencils!

These have become the only pencils I use. I use them for both dry coloring and watercoloring, and they are beautiful! I love the colors included, but I do wish the set had a white and a gray. Otherwise, they are perfect!
