I needed to downgrade

I bought a 1500w 700C kit for my Trek FX-2 earlier this year. The build went easy and it was a blast riding it. However, I wasn't doing enough of the work. I have Long-COVID and need to work on breathing better. I was really frustrated that I didn't have the energy to ride my bike. This led to the 1500w kit. I soon realized I wasn't doing enough of the work. So I downgraded to the 500w wheel. Discovered I also needed to replace my controller and controller cable (higher wattage needs more robust cables and electronics, duh). All the rest of the cables and accessories fit both kits. Went for front-wheel drive this time. This spreads more of the weight to the front wheel and it makes cornering more secure. It's also a lot easier to swap out tubes after a flat. I have all the accessories installed on my bike. I needed to replace my shifters as they were integrated with my original brake levers. The newer version of the pedal assist system with the split magnet ring is easy to install. The downgrade only took a couple of hours. Riding it is a blast and I'm breathing hard; this is what I need to be doing to heal my lungs. The biggest upside to my downgrade is the significantly decreased weight. Plus, with my 48-volt 17.2 amp-hour battery, my range is insane. The only downside is the gear-driven motor is quite a bit noisier, though it lets people ahead know I'm coming up fast.
