Beautiful…but

The rug is beautiful; colors, quality, but it had an odor that really bothered me (not my husband) so, for some it may be an issue, especially in winter (now) when airing out the room is difficult. I did vacuum and used baking soda, but it still took a few days to dissipate. Other new wool rugs we have had wrapped in plastic did not have this odor, so I still wonder what caused it. Also, the free rug pad was not included in the rug delivery, but arrived separately, which would have been nice to know ahead of time (alleviating my concern and saving me a email/phone call).
