My family signed up for Vault's BotM Club years ago, long before the pandemic started, and have kept it going all these years. Part of what keeps us coming back is the discount, but also the quality and diversity of titles. It's really easy to get stuck in a rut with reading habits. BotM helps broaden our horizons with quality content that we wouldn't necessarily self-select, but in a more affordable way so that we don't feel guilty about spending full price for a title we wouldn't otherwise consider. It helps keep our awareness and reading lively. At the same time, they've been very considerate and helpful when we hit one of those times when a particular title selection just doesn't work. What if they choose a title we already own? Or what if they choose a title that we won't read under any circumstances? (I'm just NOT a horror fan AT ALL.) Vault has been very accommodating about offering strategies for dealing with those circumstances when they arise. We try not to abuse the system, so if there's any doubt about whether we want the book, we get the book. I trust their judgment. I'm also really grateful for their flexibility in making this work for us.
