Very nice shield

I bought my GL1500 with a massively tall windshield and I knew I wanted to replace it but didn’t know what to replace it with… until I found the recurve shield. I bought the 18 inch with the vent. Even though the vent itself was sold separately they were kind enough to install it on the windshield before shipping and included a handwritten note apologizing for the delay. I didn’t even think the wait time was unreasonable at all since it came from Nevada and I’m on the east coast! The material quality seems top notch and has just the right amount of rigidity and flex. I can see it easily surviving a highway speed bird strike with only minimal damage, not that I want that to happen! The recurve design not only esthetically pleasing, it’s also very functional deflecting the wind up and over my head perfectly while still allowing my helmet vents to do their job. I thought it was a bit pricey initially but ordered anyway because it was exactly what I was looking for, a low shield that could still accept the GL1800 vent. After installing I see why the price was higher that the competition and I can say without a doubt that it was worth every penny! The fitment was also top notch requiring zero trimming or shimming. If you’re debating between this shield or an inferior shield from a lesser manufacturer, just buy this one because you won’t regret it. Thanks long ride shields! Great windshield

I’ve been riding and wrenching for a long time. It’s always nice when you get the proper fit for your bike. I pulled the old windshield off and put the new one on in less than an hour. Everything thing fit perfectly. When I took off the next day I noticed that the radio didn’t have to be as loud, and I didn’t need as many layers to keep warm. After it warmed up in the day I opened the vent and was very surprised at how much more air it let in. It really is a great windshield.

Great windshield and quick service.

I purchased the 14" shield and am extremely pleased with it. At 5' 9", I have a little turbulence around the head, but great it will be great for summertime use. I can see through the windshield with normal posture, or sit up and see over it, with the windshield in the lowest position.
