Junebug - Perfume

This takes me back to a time when fireflies were in the air and the warm air has just blown in the Georgia mountains. It not only brings me so much joy on the opening of mulberries, but as it begins to dry down a sadness hits, not from a bad place. It’s the sadness that came when you can tell that your bugspray has almost worn off so mom will be taking us inside soon. But then a final brightness as it continues to develop as the sun goes down and mom breaks out a fresh pinaple to finish the perfect summer day. This perfume is photorealistic home. No matter where your home is. Its a warm summer night that you wish never ended.

Like a sophisticated cranberry sauce

I really like the tart, almost bitter smell of Junebug. It feels deep and mature on the skin without being too sweet or heavy (my pet peeves in ambery/'deep' perfumes). There's just enough freshness to balance all the heaviness. This is one of my two favorites from the sample kit I ordered, and I'm also gifting a sample to a friend!

Fun and Whimsical

I loved reading the backstory of this scent. What a heartwarming dedication! The scent itself is sweet, zesty and fruity. I can see this being a perfect scent for spring and summer. Very unisex and long lasting yet not cloying or heavy. A beautiful composition of notes and unique to anything else that I have smelled. I would highly recommend this scent to anyone that is looking for an uplifting and whimsical experience. This brought me back to summers spent camping in the forest and picking all kinds of berries while drinking fizzy tonic water.
