Scholar Convertible Tote Backpack

Timbuk2 has easily become my go to bag for every day. This is my third bag and I am very happy with it. My first Timbuk2 bag lasted over 15 years of heavy use and travel. It still is in great shape! I bought one for everyday work and now this one to carry to meetings. I’m very happy with the quality, pockets, materials, feel and everything. I absolutely would recommend Timbuk2 products to anyone who is looking for a long term-reliable bag.

The shoulder straps were about half an inch too far apart for me (I'm a broad-shouldered 5'7" woman) until I modified them by tying them together at the top with a spare strap from somewhere else. So now the backpack works perfectly for my purposes but is a little less cool looking.

What can I say about this absolutely perfect travel bag??? I got this last minute before a 3-week trip to Europe. I have stretched the loading capacity of this bag and it did not disappoint!! I already had a 40 L backpack, but needed something to carry my computer + electronics. The fact that you can convert it into a regular tote bag is so convenient! I can attest to the sturdiness and quality of the fabric. Also, costumer service is the best I've ever received - I ordered this during the Canada Post strike and was worried it wouldn't get to my home in time before my flight. The agent I spoke with made sure it would be sent a few hours after I put in my order, and I received the bag in 2 days. Thank you Timbuk!!!
