Pillow Inserts

I first purchased two of the standard size inserts last fall. I was having a hard time finding inserts for that size that were not sleeping pillows (and expensive). When they arrived I was most impressed. They are full and heavy, and have kept their beautiful look. I next ordered the Euro pillow inserts. This size is readily available, and generally far cheaper. But, I was SO impressed with the quality of the standard inserts that I decided to come back to Peacock Alley. While most Euro shams are 26"x26", the Peacock Alley Euro insert is 28"x28". I've just now wrestled them into my pillow covers. They are gorgeous!! Very full, very heavy. . in a good way. In fact, I weighed them and the Euro insert is roughly 8 pounds. A pillow protector is recommended, but Peacock Alley does not offer one in the Euro size.

Juliet, is to me, the most casual of the Peacock Alley line - I love it. It washes up well and although I cringe when my longish nailed sighthounds decide to stretch on it claw first, the store assured me Juliet is cat claw tested and approved and I know my three sighthounds claws are not as sharp as cat claws. Anyway, no snags and holding up really well. Juliet is on the lighter side but it’s got some weight to it. I switched covers for a quilt that I bought for fall/winter with light batting. I was so overheated, I got up in the middle of the night and changed back to the Juliet coverlet. Much easier to temp regulate when only natural materials are used.
