This was a treat to myself to replace my now illegal buck which has served me well for 30+ years. This new Lars looks and feels fantastic. very nice but needs slight finishing

great practical knife with brilliant tight fit and dimensions. as mentioned by some already - does need a slight finish with fine grit paper as otherwise the edges of the steel even in the closed position are very sharp. this does include the strap loop hole as if you do not round it off it will very quickly cut your strap through use! :)

Lars Falt Slip Joint

This knife is built like Volvos and Volkswagens used to be in the 1970’s i.e. from components recycled from armoured vehicles. Opening the blade feels like pulling open a bank vault door and the click of the slip joint when the blade opens must be detectable by the International Seismological Centre in Berkshire. The edge was functionally sharp out of the box and being a Scandi grind easy to hone to a razor edge if you feel you may need to perform emergency surgery when out walking the dog. A lovely knife, with beautiful wooden grips and a blade made with Sandvik 14C28N steel, which is a great compromise between being hard enough to keep a good edge, whilst still being properly resistant to corrosion. I’m really pleased with this purchase.
