No. 3 Pinion Gear Puller for all 1999 & earlier Harley-Davidson

These tools are very well made and I have quite a few tools by the manufacture. Never dissapoints on quality

Pinion Gear Puller

First off, this is my first Fast Eddie tool. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the tool and it functioned flawlessly. Don't forget though that you will need to reinstall that gear and you sure as hell don't want to beat it on. That will surely knock you flywheels out of true. If your gear doesn't fit tight, you need a new gear. This applies to ironhead sportsters as I cannot speak for other models. Most pinion gear pullers are also installers as well. Of course a Jim's Tools one will cost you 3 times the price as Fast Eddie. There are also some cheap knock-offs that the reviews say does not fit to remove the gear but, does a great job of installing it. So, if you buy this Fast Eddie tool your not out of the woods yet. Use your best judgement and budget. I have already bought this Fast Eddie tool (and, it is indeed excellent) so now I guess I'll be buying the cheap gear puller/installer so that I can get it back on.

When you look at the cost of rebuilding a lower end on a original panhead this product is worth what you pay considering the consequences of destroying the pinion gear of a historical classic .
