Necessary accessory
The GEWA case has been great, but the placement of the straps is very high, making the case sit low on the body and against the head. With the rucksack, the case is placed in a very comfortable position and away from the head. You can adjust how high you want it. And you can stir an iPad and pedal in the zippered case. Highly recommend.

Works perfectly but I have a concern
The Gewa Air case protects the cello well, but was very uncomfortable for my daughter to carry (shoulder and neck aches). So we purchased the backpack attachment. The attachment lifts the cello up higher, and away from the body (so the scroll no longer knocks against the back of her head). She can now carry the cello all day from class to class. However: the fastenings are velcro only; I can’t believe that will last well. And it is such an expensive piece; should have been made to last. Remind me to send an update, on durability over time.

Great Backpack
This Gewa backpack is great because it's makes carrying the Gewa case more comfortable. If you attach the straps that were included with the cello case, then the cello case will sit lower on your back. I'm 5'2" and need the case to be higher up and this backpack does the job because it raises the cello up higher on your back. It is comfortable and not bulky. Also it seems to weigh less than the the Gewa straps that came with the case reducing overall weight. I also noticed that it reduces the noise of walking with the case because of the back pad and also with the straps because instead of metal clips, the backpack uses velcro and adjustable plastic clips on the straps. It helps me carry my Gewa case more comfortably and I love it!
