Parker 68S Stainless Steel Open Comb Three Piece Safety Razor

Pleasantly surprised ! Not a bloodletter !!

I have tried several Parker razors in the past and always found them to be a bit too aggressive for me. I was looking to get a a toehold in the open comb razor world and, based on reviews, decided to take a chance on the Parker 68s. I am glad that I did !! The razor has a solid weight to it and is very well built; its own weight is enough for a close shave, no pressure form you. I loaded in a Gillette Silver Blue blade and used RazoRock Aqua shave soap for my first shave. The 68s gave an extremely smooth and efficient shave. The razor glided, under its own weight, effortlessly and gave no irritation and only one nick (my fault). Three easy passes and I was BBS. I would rate the razor as mildly aggressive. You still need to show it respect and be careful not to be in a rush, but if you play nice with the 68s it will reward you with a smooth, efficient and excellent shave. The 68s has become my go to Sunday shave razor.
