I found a great spot to keep my boat, but there wasn't any power at the dock. At the time, it needed a new shaft seal, so the boat was perpetually slowly sinking and needed the bilge pump to come on every 15 minutes or so. The 300 watt solar system keeps two deep cycle batteries at 14.4 volts all day now that the shaft seal is fixed and the pump doesn't run, and it kept the batteries at 13+ volts all day when the pump was always running.
Now I can go anywhere and do anything I need to without fear of losing power. I will upgrade to 600 watts at some point, but for now, I'm very happy with the system.
Installation is very easy. It's really just plug and play. After the panels are mounted, it's easier than installing a marine radio.
