Great Boots for Winter Disc Golf?
Yup, you read that right. These kayak boots are just the best thing for winter disc golf. They are warm no matter the temperature and keep my feet dry all day walking in the deep snow. Whereas most winter boots are too thick and clunky to get any traction or run up on the tee-box, these boots don't add weight or bulk to mobility, and go high enough up my leg to keep even the deep snow out. The grip was made to stand on a wet slick surface, they remind me a lot of my surf booties. So when trying to get traction to run up and throw with power, even on ice, these boots perform surprisingly well at gripping and letting me find power in my throw. I think the lack of breathability (as they are essentially surf boots made to stand in water without it penetrating) could be an issue if you're doing something where you get overheated and sweaty. If they came with an insole to provide some semblance of arch support or heel hold while on my feet for a couple of hours I would have given them 5 stars. Will be interested to see how long the soles last based on what I'm using them for. Overall, a great boot with a crossover opportunity into winter disc golf ready and waiting.
