ENOX Strike Casting Rod

Fantastic Rod

I was looking for a rod that would be used primarily for pitching and flipping around docks and lay downs. This is my favorite style of fishing. I have always used rods in the 200$ range. I wanted to buy a really good rod for this one application. I usually flip 1/4 to 3/8 weights. This rod EXCELLS at this. Even with a 1/4 ounce and a little zoom speed craw, the tip on this rod will sling the bait as far as i would want it to. Now as far as sensitivity goes, I was blown away. I came from the St Croix Victory line. I like the tip on the St Croix rods very much. I like the tip on the Strike even better. I am not sure how to describe sensitivity other than "sharp". Instead of feeling a dull thud on a bite, or a slight heaviness when dragging over rocks, this rod has a very "clean, crisp, sharp, hard" feeling. When using flouro, I could tell the difference between, rock, sand, weeds, very easily. I will slowly be upgrading all of my bottom contact rods to Enox rods. They are just amazing. I fish 3-4 times a week, and have been fishing since 1985
