Safari Skort 18" Doll Clothes

Love the Details!

I’d tested this skirt when it came out in the 14.5” size, but loved it so much I knew I’d have to buy it in the 18” size. Besides the uniqueness of a “skort” (or “culottes” if you’re old!), I love all the little details this skirt includes. Pockets - with flaps! - on both the front and the back, plus the tiny utility loop on the front, not to mention belt loops and a belt, all work together to make this skirt look just like something that might hang in my closet. I love how clear her instructions are … this designer hits the balance of enough information and pictures to make the pattern easy to follow, but not so much detail as to make it tedious. While there’s nothing at all “hard” about this pattern, it’s not necessarily a quick sew if you want to get all those cute details in, so allow a little extra time for this one. (If you’re looking to simplify, I suppose you could leave off the pockets, belt loops and belt, and the utility loop and still have a cute skort for your doll.)
