Falkland wool comes from the sheep of the Falkland islands and actually is a mix of breeds. The base flock of Falkland wool is Corridale, Polwarth and Dohne Merino. The micron count is 26 with a staple length of 4-6". These breeds were specifically developed and bred for the ability to survive in the harsh climate of the Falkland Islands.
