Works Well
It works well for me. I estimate it takes me somewhere between 10 - 15 minutes to dry my 370Z or my wife's WRX but I haven't timed it. More air flow might be nice and I'm sure a the pro model would be quicker but extra $$$ so this for me is an ok compromise. I'm glad I opted for the "Plus" model though. Unlike the other reviewer I found the unit itself is reasonable quiet and I'd say the air noise at the business end of the hose is unavoidable if you want to move water in a hurry. I do agree that it will trip a 15 amp circuit breaker(cb) (on it's thermal element*) after a while. That's understandable as the stated current is 14 Amps (93% of 15 Amps) and typical circuit breakers are only rated to carry 80% of their rating CONTINUOUSLY. I swapped my 15A cb out for a 20A cb and that solved the issue. 14 Amps is only 70% of 20A so now the unit is well within the CONTINUOUS rating of the 20A cb. The 14 gauge or 12 gauge cable feeding your typical receptacle is rated for 100% of 15 Amps or 20Amps respectively so running the unit at 14 - 15 amps continuous current will not overload the cable. The hose does extend nicely form it's compact "at rest" state. If I place the unit alongside the centre of my vehicle, I can dry that side, the top, front & rear and then move it to the other side to dry it so not too much movement require. The hose does start to get pretty warm about halfway through. it would be nice if I could turn the heat on and off but otherwise it works well.
