I was worried i wouldn't notice the difference between this and my entry-level Fiddlershop carbon fiber bow, but I did. I'm really enjoying the warm sound and light feel of this bow. It was definitely a step up! I chose sandalwood instead of pernambuco out of ecological concerns, and I've been pleased with the sandalwood.

I just received this bow last evening and was completely disappointed. It is bowed with the horse hair touching the wood and won't adjust at all. I'll be returning it! EDIT: I MUST RECANT MY FIRST REVIEW AND APOLOGIZE FOR MY HASTY RESPONSE! THE PROBLEM WAS COMPLETELY MY OWN FAULT! THIS BOW IS JUST FINE!!! I JUST DIDN'T ADJUST IT CORRECTLY!! MY APOLOGIES TO FIDDLERSHOP for my poor haste!
