Cute But Too Small

I made this for my daughter's doll, who has much slimmer arms and body than my older American Girl dolls, but it still came out too small. The sleeves were tight and I had to add quite a bit of fabric to the back to make it fit. It's hard to put the dress on and take it off. It's a shame because the sleeves are really pretty. I really liked the method of finishing the raw edge with ribbon, so much in fact that I finished the skirt that way too.

Fantastic pattern

Very easy pattern to use. The directions for making this dress were very easy to follow. I look forward to seeing what’s available every Friday for sale.

Test fit

A darling dress. I've not had trouble with patterns from Pixie Faire fitting, but this one was much too skimpy for my granddaughter's AG doll. It fits the Journey Girl doll perfectly, and the Our Generation Doll snugly. The 14.5" pattern fits Wellie Wisher, but a little snug if tights are to go underneath it. I made matching dresses for Kara (AG) and Willa (WW), so it was disappointing.Next time I will add ½" width through the bodice F & B for an AG doll, and 1/ 4" CB for an OG doll.
