Amethyst Dome Extra Large Break Open Geode

I recently purchased an amethyst geode, and unfortunately, the experience has been quite disappointing. Instead of receiving a geode that was split cleanly in half, the geode had been opened into multiple pieces and then glued back together using epoxy. This resulted in numerous visible crack lines that detract from the natural beauty of the geode. Additionally, it’s incredibly difficult to open the geode, which defeats the purpose of having a piece that’s meant to be displayed or examined. The overall quality feels subpar, and I can’t help but feel let down by the craftsmanship and presentation. I was really looking forward to adding a stunning amethyst geode to my collection, but this purchase has left me feeling dissatisfied. On top of that, the seller did not declare the shipping cost properly, which led to an unexpected additional charge of over $300 from UPS for taxes. This was an unpleasant surprise that further soured the experience.
