Nice Beginning

I am almost halfway through "Beginning Your Journey" and find it a relaxing, nicely paced beginning. I am finding that I prefer watching the beginning course from several instructors as I come across them. I am a dedicated musician of several decades (guitar), so I can accelerate the pace with no loss of learning. I prefer to take a prejudice with me into eternity. Music is best taught through songs first, theory second. When I go to bed the first night, I will have tried to get a tone from my new NAF. I want to have a simple song in my repertoire already. Teach me the holes and the scale the second week. Eventually, get around to telling me how a flute works and its cultural history. Teach me a few simple melodies first so I can go sit by a stream.
