Tramezzino

Tramezzino was the perfect gift

I gave this to my husband as his Christmas gift, anticipating that we would use on out next camping trip. Turns out it is also just perfect for using on our gas stove and makes the most delicious hot pocket sandwiches. Not only is it beautifully designed but it is so easy to use and clean. We have been using it weekly and can't wait to put it to the test on an open fire this summer!

Great sandwich maker

The tramezzino is a high quality sandwich cooker, the build is a sturdy steel with a wooden handle to reduce heat transfer. The two sides are hinged and easy to separate, making it possible to cook things besides sandwiches on it by using it like a flat grill top. Eggs and bacon work well on it. You can use it on a portable stove/range or over an open fire. Note that it is fairly small, and your average slices of bread (in the US at least) are actually larger than the indents on each side. For us this was actually a plus, because you could grill up a sandwich and get a good seal all around the sandwich because the bread had crisped up and closed the ends off.
