Better than expected
I wasn't overly excited about this particular special edition (I was still sad about the Bahaus 155's ones being sold out). But these are fantastic, the harder graphite holds a point better than most others and the yellow doesn't fade like my 155's had a tendency to.

Unique Pencils
As a fan of the Blackwing Volume pencils in general I was excited when I saw these. I really like the subtle designs but the lead/graphite seems a bit different than the other Blackwings I have used in the past. Still, these are very cool pencils...

Best Score All Around!
As a musician, it is imperative that I be able to make legible markings on the music I perform, and prepare for my students. The ability to erase cleanly and efficiently is perhaps even more important! Ravi Shankar does it all, and I love the feel of it in my hand. I have tried many Blackwing pencils, but this might be my favorite!
