Ahh, magical. My routine is somewhat different than Ryky for residential use with kitchen western knives........Arkansas, medium grit, fine, black surgical with mineral oil, steel, and then the finality......buffalo strop. The term "razor sharp" is commonly misused but with the final step with the buffalo strop you have arrived at that magical edge..........thanks to Ryky and Kevin for the tutorials........no BS, just the facts and clean up on the stone with the eraser.
