Hyacinth Dress 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

Great style

I’d been wanting this pattern for a long time and finally had a reason to buy it. I read through all the instructions first and found an easier way to construct it than the pattern suggests. I did view B and I’m not sure why they tell you to put the bottom of the front on after you put in the elastic. It was much easier to do with it flat. Also I had a hard time with the casing. I even used 1/8” elastic. Next time I will fold over 1/2” instead of 3/8”. The corners were tricky. The dress did turn out nice, just needed some tweaking. Thanks for the pattern!

Very Pretty Dress

The instructions and photos were clear and concise, yay! I made two view A dresses - one in rayon, one in cotton. The cotton dress went together much easier at the gathered bodice and the sleeves. I really like the belt placement - actually, all the view A design elements. I’m very pleased with my dresses.
