Scott Centric Fly Rod

This is the best fly rod I have ever used in 64 years of fly-fishing, both for distance and accuracy. It plays fish well, too. I am not an expert caster, but I am trying to get there, and this rod will help.

I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Centric last week. It was pouring rain with ridiculous gusting winds and I still headed to The Farmington to give it a go. On my very first cast I stung a brown (and missed him) but four casts later his buddies were not so lucky. I landed 3 quick fish and then headed to the car. While the Centric was killing it in the wind and rain, I was not. I would buy another Centric in a heartbeat.

I have another Scott— a 5-wt.. and bought spouse a 6-wt centric, too… we LOVE these rods!!
