Not as much hand protection as you think, you feel from reviews the d30 is going to be really protective but your knuckles sure feel it. Strap not great for big forearms. Hope after my knuckles heal up I will learn to like these and they start to feel better after they get broken in.

Excellent gloves, light and comfortable and protect hands extremely well.
