Somewhat concerned with layer of whitish substance on top of jelly
I have purchased Crabapple Jelly for years from a store in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. I noticed the same light colored film on a purchase from them as well as your recent purchase. I mixed the substance into the jelly and used the jelly with chicken 2 times.
Should I be concerned??

Sweet Memories
My mom used to make crabapple jelly from the fruit of our enormous crabapple tree every year. It's a taste and a memory from my childhood. It's nearly impossible to find now. I'm so glad that Old Mill carries it and brings back such sweet memories. It's delicious and now I'll never be without it!

FInally found it!
My brother and I had been looking for crabapple jelly for years. It was a favorite from our childhood and I would stop at every roadside stand and store that sells homemade products and comb the shelves for crabapple jelly. My sister told me about Old Mill when visiting her two weeks ago and I immediately ordered 3 jars. It did not disappoint!! We always spread it on our Polish kielbasa when we have it for breakfast and boom! We're back in our 1960s parent's kitchen! Thank you for bringing an old favorite back!!
