Brilliant idea - poorly executed

Very disappointed when it arrived, it's just a flat peice of printed plastic - was hoping for a 3D model. Admittedly the picture was very unclear, so I was expecting to be disappointed, and it was about as bad as I had feared. Such a shame, it's a wonderful idea, maybe I need to buy a 3D printer and make a proper one myself...
