I wear size 6.5 / 7 in street shoes, and have wide feet but since most shoes do not come in wide, i just work with the standard B width. I and a 36 in Birkenstocks, so when I looked at the Sanita size chart (which apparently has recently been changed, resulting in larger Sanita sizing relative to US sizing) and saw that I should order a size 38, I was skeptical. I decided to go with 36 for my Lodge Slide slippers, based on Birkenstock sizing; however, 36 was too tight and short, so I returned the 36's and ordered size 37. The 37's seemed a little tight, but the length was good, so, since these clogs are expensive, I wanted to ensure the proper fit and also ordered size 38 for comparison to the size 37. The 38's were too loose and too long (and may have been ok with thick socks), but I decided to keep the 37's and I returned the 38's. Two weeks into wearing my 37's I am sure 37 is the best fit...they are very comfortable width-wise and length-wise., and the footbed arch is exactly where it needs to be on my feet. I wear them without socks, but if I want socks, only very thin ones work. I am pleased with my Sanita clog slippers. For others unsure of sizing, I recommend going down a size down from their updated sizing chart. Googling to find their old size chart, a 6.5 / 7 US size would have been a 37, rather than a 38.

On the basis of a review I ordered a larger size than my usual size, but had to return them for my usual size, which fit perfectly. Love them!
