Great looking bike, takes me back to my earlier years.

Decent bike but not without issues

To be fair, I'll only mention the issues that aren't subjective. For reference, I'm an intermediate level rider and weigh 175lbs. Out of the box, the spokes on the rear wheel were extremely loose and creaked the entire 360 degrees of wheel revolution. In addition and likely a result, the wheel was incredibly out of true. Being somewhat of an experienced bike mechanic, I was able to fix this on my own. At recommended PSI, the rear tire has bulges at different points and on both sides. The bulge was so bad the 2.4 tires rubbed the frame when centered between the chain stays. I pulled the tire/tube, reseated and checked, the tire is seated correctly all around the rim so I'm assuming it's defective. As a result, I purchased new aftermarket tires. After what I'd guess was an hour of light driveway riding the rear hub showed signs of lateral play. I've tightened to resolve and so far it will fix the issue for about a days worth of riding. I'm about 175lbs so I'm not a "heavy" rider. The bottom bracket at times produces a strange grinding sound and/or feeling. It's random and I'm unable to determine a cause or replicate the issue. I've yet to pull the cranks and inspect but assume I'll have to within the next few days. Full transparency, I HAVE NOT contacted Eastern Bike Co. support regarding any of the issues. I'm sure their support is great and would no doubt help me out regarding my issues. This is by no means a bad review, just sharing my experiences. Aside from the mentioned above, I changed the bars and grips for personal preferences.
