Butterballs - Toasted Walnut Cookies

The cookie that goes by the name, Mexican wedding cookie or several other names has always been one of my favorites since I was a child. These are kind of like are you Mexican wedding cookie except with walnuts instead of pecans. Also twice as big and is a shortbread or like a shortbread but more moist. I guess that’s why they call them Butterballs.

Very good however .much larger than anticipated Driver put cookies on the steps and black ants all over box.

I have always eaten this with pecans. The walnut was very good too.
