Good, but…
Strings sound really good in my cello, but after a couple weeks the strings start to lose the warm sound, I really like the D string, lower ones it’s good but not too much power, for chamber music it works great!

Gives New Meaning to "Sonorous" (Warm and Broad)
Absolutely changed the character and color of my cello. Previously used Larsen strings, which sounded fine, but I always felt there was a bit missing acoustically; perhaps a bit brighter in sound than I preferred. As it was time for new strings, I did some extensive research and narrowed my choices to Evah Pirazzi Gold, which I use for my viola, and the Il Cannone. After teetering on the edge for weeks, leaning first this way and that, I took the plunge with the Il Cannone (warm and broad) and I couldn't be happier. There is real resonance in the strings and they are quite user-friendly in their "playability". My wife noticed the difference almost immediately and noted the improvement in sound. May have found my "go-to" strings.
