My kid hates putting on outdoor gear. I had him try these on, which he wasn't thrilled about... And then I watched his face melt into pleasant surprise. "They're soft!" he eagerly stuffed his other hand into the other mitt. Can't attest to the waterproofness or insulation, but first impression was a good one!
