Beautiful Arranging and Very Educational

I really enjoyed the Ron Carter Bach albums as they maintain such respect while trying something new with Bach. Every time I look at these scores I find something new to learn. It also is incredible to realize how many basses are on some of these pieces (such as the prelude in C major). Not only a great study of polyphony or Bach but a wonderful resource of arranging with low pitched instruments. Highly recommend these scores!

Fabulous arrangements!

Very fine arrangements. I gave them to a buddy who is principal bass chair with a symphony, teaches at university, etc. Bob is playing them with his buddies and students. I’ll let you know iwhen they get put on a concert! Of course, coming from Maestro Carter they’re wonderful.
